Before you apply
This is support for people who will work as Hakko Soka® abroad.
- You live outside Japan
- You have completed three days or more of Basic + Advance or beyond, in person at the Tokyo studio — or you are planning to. Studying online alone does not qualify
- Within a year of finishing, you intend to do something with fermentation in your own country: teaching, research, creating, or otherwise
- A few places each year, chosen from the applications we receive
The scheme is set out in full on the Hakko Soka® page.
- What you write here is used only to consider your application.
- If you are not chosen, Hakko Soka® is of course still open to you in the usual way.
- Hakko Soka® is a title for passing fermentation on correctly (a formally registered trademark in Japan).
